Photo One A Day #4

This challenge is proving to be harder for me than I expected it to be. Partly, its hard because I wonder what other people are going to think about the photo I pick. I wonder if they will think it is stupid or like every other one that I have done. However, a smaller part of me is telling myself not to care. I want to do this challenge for myself. I am just using my blog as a means of journaling it. Besides, I am not sure how many people even read my blog or if they read it on a consistent basis.

There is a website that will turn your blog into a bound book. I think I will do that at the end of every year. I find it hard to journal, but I sure am getting addicted to blogging. So maybe I will make this blog have a dual purpose. Anyway, here is today's photo......

This week has really been a struggle for me. As I was looking out the office window this morning, I took special notice of the tree in my front yard and the fact that it didn't have any leaves as it is winter. It then got me to thinking about seasons and more particularly seasons of life. I thought about how each year my tree blossoms in the Springtime bigger and fuller than the year before. Each year it grows bigger, despite looking like this in the wintertime. It reminded me that we all have seasons in live where we are discouraged and struggling. At the same time, we all have springtime when we come back bigger and fuller, hopefully learning through the "winter" what we needed to blossom more fully. The winds may blow and the branches of the tree may shake, but the trunk and root of the tree hang on strong until it is it's season to blossom.

After taking the picture and uploading it to my computer, I noticed that even though it is winter and there are clouds in the sky, there is also blue sky. It reminded me that even during my struggles and my "winter" there is blessings and blue sky for me to be thankful for.
