On September 6th, Joseph and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. I know I am a little late in posting but things have been busy and crazy. Our anniversary was pretty low key. The day before our actual anniversary, we went out to lunch (Chapala's) and then went and saw a movie with free movie tickets. We had some time in between lunch and the movie, so we went and walked around Cabela's and another store. It was so great to just be able to be us, walking hand in hand.

I am so thankful for Joseph and our life together. We have been through a lot and it has made our relationship better. There is no one else that I would rather share this life with. I am thankful for his love, support, and friendship. Here's to an eternity together.

Joseph @ 135 Pounds

For all of you who wondered what Joseph looked like after not eating for 2 months and dropping 50 pounds......I found this picture the other day. It was taken on the plane ride home after he got out of the hospital. I had forgotten how skinny he had gotten.

He reached a milestone this last month......three years later and he is finally back up to pre-injury weight!!!

Touching

I found this video today while I was reading through blogs. It is entitled, "Dear Mr. Obama". While I FULLY support everyone's RIGHT and PRIVILEGE to vote for the candidate of their choice, I really feel strongly about the message that this young man is portraying. Not that he is voting for John McCain and that he is addressing this to Senator Obama, but his thoughts on freedom.

I can say from experience of sacrifice, that freedom is worth the cost. While I know that many people have different feelings on the war in Iraq and I respect all of them as I believe that the freedom of opinion and speech is why our troops fight (at least I know that's why my husband fights), I PROUDLY support our men and women in uniform who have given up so much to defend this nation I am BLESSED to call home.
