Catching Up

I have not been as faithful with my blogging as of late. I have not kept up with my weekly gratitude list nor my photo one a days. Things have been really crazy lately, I feel like my memory is failing as of late, and I don't feel like there has been that many interesting things going on in our life to blog about. However, since this blog isn't just to keep people up to date with our life but also to be somewhat of a journal for me, I know that I need to start to take notice of the little things.

I can hardly remember last week (nothing too major happened), so I am going to start to pay extra attention this week to the little things that happen. Yes, I realize that the week is mostly over but it is never too late to start to take more notice our our blessings.

Part of the reason that my life has been so chaotic and busy is with working. Working at home is both a blessing and a vice. I love that I am home with my girls and get to take care of them and watch them grow. However, it is a lot harder to get things accomplished when it feels like every five minutes Lexi is crying or Paige is wanting me to play or get her something. It can be very frustrating. Unfortunately, by the time my kids go to bed, I am so tired and can't get up much motivation to come into the office and work for three or four hours. After I put my kids down, I just want to veg in front of the television or go crawl in bed with a good book. However, I have a lot to do. Running our own business and doing all the internet marketing is very time intensive. Adding to my time crunch is the fact that I am on a huge learning curve with doing an eCommerce business. I can see how much I have learned and it has been very satisfying to know that I can still learn something! However, I spend a lot of time on the phone or on live internet chats trying to work out kinks and get questions answered. But aside from all of the complaining, I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity Joseph and I have been blessed with to work from home!

Lexi has been somewhat of a pill lately. The poor kid is teething and getting over a cough that she has had for two or three weeks. However, it has screwed up her sleeping routine and it has been really hard on me. However, we were rewarded with her first tooth last week. One tooth down, and who knows how many more to go!
