Pictures To Come......
I have a little time on my hands since they didn't take out the catheter when I went to the doctor today so I have spent most of the day back in bed. I have several stacks of work next to me so I hope to be productive with the next few days. I am really re-vamping my work efforts with our e-commerce websites. I have several new lines of crib bedding to add and several new products to the current designers that I already have. For anyone who is interested, the web address is www.creativecribcouture.com. Please pass the site along to all of your friends. I am currently in the process of putting together a giveaway since that seems to be an effective way of getting the word out to people. Please help me in passing the word.....more details of the giveaway to come!!!
I am also working on launching my newest e-commerce website which will feature wedding accessories. I am setting some deadlines for myself of when to have that up and running. When it is up, I will do a giveaway for that as well. If you know anyone that is currently engaged and looking for all kinds of accessories for their wedding, please have them contact me as I have information that I can send them before the website is up and running live!
Anyway, back to what we have been doing. Joseph's mom brought Halloween outfits for the girls over last night. Joseph took lots of pictures and I will get them posted when I am back to my regular computer. They are absolutely adorable and the girls love them. Thanks Grandma Danes!
Today the girls went out and played in the beautiful weather. They played with the next door neighbor girl. Joseph and the neighbor raked leaves from both yards up into one pile and the girls had a blast jumping in them. Once again Joseph took pictures that I will upload later.
Sorry there isn't much to report. I have the time so I am blogging. But now I need to get back to work. Hope everyone has a great week!

Recovering From Home
I had my surgery on Wednesday. Everything went great. The doctor told Joseph that it went picture perfect. It felt like forever since they would let me see Joseph after coming out of the surgery but since I was being admitted, I was in a big room with lots of people who were recovering and so Joseph wasn't able to see me until they took me up to my room. He was there waiting with flowers and two candy bars.
As soon as I got to my room, I started dry heaving and didn't stop for over an hour. That was horrible. I was pretty in and out the rest of the day. Joseph stayed with me that night while the girls stayed with my parents. Lisa came up and visited and brought me some magazines to read. I knew that I was out of it when she was there but I didn't realize how groggy I really was until I have tried to remember her visit. I remember her being there but I don't remember the conversation. I appreciated her making the almost 45 minute drive each way to come and see me.
The next day was full of visitors. Thank you to everyone who came to see me. It meant a lot. I had two sisters from my ward come and rub my feet. I really appreciated it since my feet were so swollen. It helped to get the circulation moving in them again. I also was given several bouquets of flowers and a candle.
After three nights in the hospital, I finally got to come home on Saturday. I was so ready to sleep in my own bed without people bothering me all the time for vitals and blood draws and everything else. Joseph has been amazing through this whole experience. He has even set up the laptop upstairs so that I can surf the net while in bed.
I go see the doctor tomorrow to get the catheter taken out. I will still have some recovering to do but I will be glad when I don't have the catheter. Although, it has made me lazy since I don't have to get out of bed to go to the bathroom. In fact, I don't think I have been out of my bed at all today.
Overall, I feel great. I am hoping to be back to my normal routine within a few weeks. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Avoiding Housework
This post is going to be very random - just catching up on the things that have been happening in our family lately. Boring for all of you, I know, but I need something for posterity. I have a huge to do list to get done by Tuesday night as I go in for surgery and a couple day stay at the hospital on Wednesday. I need a break and I thought that doing a random catch-up blog post would be just the right dose of medicine to then kick my butt back in gear!
1. A few weeks ago, our dishwasher broke. I know that at some point, all dishwashers (and other appliances) eventually reach their end and die. However, my house is 2 1/2 years old and when it was built, a new dishwasher was installed. Of course, the warranty on the dishwasher is only for 2 years so I am just out of luck. We paid $60 for a repair man just to come out and tell us what he thinks is wrong with it. As soon as he left, my husband was convinced that the guy was wrong. I will save you all the details as to why the repair guy (who does this for a living) is wrong and my husband's assessment of the problem is more right on. However, it will cost me $212 for the repair guy to fix his idea of the problem. I am not going to spend that kind of money at the current time to fix my retarded, relatively new dishwasher, so hand washing it is. Joseph does get the dishwasher to work sometimes, so when it decides to cooperate, we take advantage of it.
2. LEXI IS WALKING!!!! Finally, the kid is walking everywhere. A huge thank you to her physical therapist, Sima, for coming every week to help her overcome her delay. If anyone is looking for a good pediatric therapist, let me know. We absolutely love Sima and are so appreciative of all the work that she did with Lexi. For the official record books, Lexi will be 18 months on the 1st of November.
3. My current obsession is coupons, rebates, and sales - all combined together. It is amazing the deals that you can get and the money that you can save by taking the time to research, cut coupons, and shop sales. I could write forever on this topic so I will stop now. However, I am tempted to take a picture of all the items I got for free this week thanks to Walgreens Easy Saver Rebates and Rite Aid's Single Check Rebate.
4. Joseph and I spent the beginning part of the week in Sun Valley - just the two of us. A HUGE thank you to Jake and Lisa for taking the girls for us and taking such great care of them. We so appreciated the needed getaway. We went courtesy of Sun Valley Adaptive Sports. They really pulled out all the stops for our couple days there. We ate like royalty, mountain biked, hiked, got nails and a pedicure (well just me), got a couples massage, and enjoyed fantastic company. Joseph and I also got a lot of time alone to work through some things. We spent time reading the scriptures together (more on this in a minute) and having intellectual discussions on spiritual matters. I feel like I got to know my husband (of 5 years) on a whole new level.
5. Speaking of scriptures, the last two weeks have really increased my testimony of them. Joseph and I have been going through a lot lately and we have both really made the effort to be more consistent with meaningful scripture study. The results have been amazing. My burdens seem so much lighter and I am so much happier. To anyone who is struggling with something right now (which would be pretty much about everybody) - OPEN YOUR SCRIPTURES!!! You won't regret it.
6. Another blessing of the last couple weeks is that I have been busy with work. I am so thankful for the outpouring of blessings from my Father in Heaven. I think that I feel them the most when I am facing my most difficult trials.
7. My parents got home from their mission. It has been great to hang out with them. My parents are my best friends (aside from Joseph) and I am so thankful to have them home. I appreciate their example in serving a mission (and with everything else in life). I know that it was hard to be away from family but they were so committed to serving the Lord!
8. Paige turned 4. I will do a post just for her and how she truly was and is my miracle baby. I am so thankful for her and I love her so much! Don't worry - I consider Lexi to be a miracle baby also. I love her just as much. On Lexi's second birthday, I will do a post just for her. Paige's birthday was pretty low key since the weather sucked. We just hung out at home and opened presents. That night we went over to some friend's to watch the BSU game and celebrate birthdays (our friend was having a birthday as well).
I think that sums up the major stuff that has been going on in our life the next few weeks. I hope to catch up on blogging pictures while I am recovering from surgery. For now, I must get back to the endless housework that is haunting me!

Inspiring Quote
I have been a horrible blogger as of late. I am trying to do better not only with blogging, but also with keeping my journal (which happens to just be my own private blog). Our family has been going through a lot lately, but I am really trying to trust in my Father in Heaven and find out what His will is and what path he wants me to take to navigate through some current trials. I am learning to ask what He wants me to learn rather than asking Him why I have to go through it.
One of the things that I am really working on is to find the Lord's hand in my life EVERY day. I am trying to develop more of a gratitude attitude because even in the midst of trial are great blessings if we will look for them. I have been reading the blogs of several women who have lost children this past summer from one thing or another. I have been amazed at their strength and wisdom. Although I can't possible imagine their grief or their trial, their take on life has really helped me deal with my current grief and trial.
One woman in particular has been inspiring to me. I really feel like Heavenly Father is speaking to me through her blog to give me the inspiration that I need. Although our trials are very different, the lessons of learning that she talks about can apply to any trial. She shared a quote today from Neil A. Maxwell today that has really got me thinking -
"The cavity which suffering carves into our souls will one day also be the receptacle of joy."
This quote gives me hope. It helps me to get up each day and put one foot in front of the other. It helps me to trust in a light at the end of the tunnel, even if I can't see a glimpse of the light right now. It helps me to trust in God, trust that he is in control, and trust in the bigger picture.
I know that each one of us has trials and that all of us are enduring one right now. Most of the time, our trials we bear alone. No one sees the pain that we endure. We all wake up each day, just putting one foot in front of the other. We all fall into bed at night, exhausted and thankful that we made it through one more day.
