Date Night

Last weekend, Joseph and I went out on a date with some friends. We decided to meet at the Outback Steakhouse. I knew that this restaurant was expensive, however, our friends wanted to go there, so we figured....oh well, we'll cough up the money. So we get there and each couple gets an appetizer. We start to look at the menu more and realize just how much this dinner was going to cost us. Our friends are noticing the same thing and comment that they didn't realize it would be so expensive. Well, I had been craving pizza so I said......why don't we finish our appetizers here and then go somewhere else for dinner. Everyone agreed that that would be fun.

So after eating our appetizers, we weren't full but we weren't hungry so we decided to go play black light miniature golf before we went to dinner. I had never heard of this miniature golf place before but we absolutely loved it. It was so much fun! Afterwards, we went to Old Chicago (one of my favorite places) for dinner. It was a wonderful night. It got me to thinking of another date idea. What if we went to one restaurant for appetizers, a different one for dinner, and a third one for dessert. I think next date night we might try that!

I think that's a really good idea for a date :) Now if we could just find time for a date more frequently than once every 6 mos...

That could be really fun--as long as you didn't have to leave a tip at each place! :) I wish we got to go out on dates more often...it's rare...really, REALLY rare. It is nice that you got a night out! :)

That sounds like a "Progressive Dinner". You can do that with your friends...have appetizers at one friends house, main dish at another and dessert at another. If you live close you can just walk to each other's house, also have each host have a game or activity you can do. It would be fun at restaurants, but could get pricey....Aunt Karen
