I have OFFICIALLY won the A+ mother award. What have I done that would deserve such praise?

Yes, this is my one year old daughter with a sunburn so FREAKIN' bad that she has blisters. How am I such an idiot you might ask?We went to the park yesterday for Aunt Jeaneen's end of the year party and the wind was blowing and it was somewhat chilly. So, did this BRILLIANT mom mind that I have fathom that my children might possibly need sun screen?!? I think the pictures answer that for you!
She never got red at the park, she wasn't red when we got home, she wasn't red as she played, nor was she red when she went down for a nap. However, was she red as all get out when she woke up from her nap? UNFORTUNATELY so!
So, don't you worry......as soon as my mother sees this picture from Wyoming (where she is at on a mission), she will either drive home to hit me upside the head OR call me immediately with a tongue lashing!
Lesson learned? Better believe it!
Sunscreen.............DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!

I can't believe how many pictures and how much stuff you've gotten up in the ONE day I missed! It looks like Lexi is in for some recovery!
I loved the pic of Joseph with the girls on his bike...way cute!!
Poor thing! Did you see my recent post about Thomas getting himself out of the stroller? That might help you feel better... :)
How sad! Don't feel too bad - you're definitely not the only one in this arena. I had the exact same thing happen with my oldest, Justin, when he was 8 months old. He wouldn't keep his hat on for anything, and we did have sunscreen, but they didn't make it for kids, or very high SPF back then. SO....he had blisters all over his face - horrible feeling as a mom.
Don't worry, Every mom does it. I've left my house a time or two without sunscreen and ended up lucky. Tayson just has olive type skin so he doesn't really burn that much but I know when he does get a little red that had he had fairer skin it would have been alot worse. She'll get better. Kids heal fast.
I know how you feel! Dallas managed to get his shirt off and ran around all day without it. His poor little back was all red, and he didn't sleep for two nights!
Poor Sweetie. Good thing she still looks DANG CUTE!
Thanks for the post! I will definitely try and remember sunscreen! I burn to a crisp super fast, but TJ doesn't ever burn - so I hope Hailey doesn't have my skin!
